Production company of Joanna Kozuch and Boris Sima, was created in 2014. It is a small Slovak production studio, in which Joanna and Boris produce their films, but also an artistic platform where they present their other works.

Plackartnyj is the name of a type of sleeper car. Heading east, it is the most popular and cheapest class: no compartments, no doors, just an open space with 54 berths, 54 passengers and their 54 stories.

Joanna Kozuch

Director, visual artist and animator. Joanna graduated at Fine Art studies of University of Arts in Poznan and University of Silesia in Katowice. She is also a teacher on Animation department at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, where she finished her PhD. studies. Her filmography includes Game (2004), Fongopolis (2014), 39 Weeks, 6 Days (2017), Music Box (2019, part of the Happiness Machine project) and the award-winning Once There Was a Sea... (2021). She is now working on another short animated film Last Minute and an animated documentary Once There Was a Town...

Boris Šima

Boris studied Animated Film at the UTB in Zlín (Czech Republic). From 1998 to 2003 he studied at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava, at the Department of Animated Film. His filmography includes Today is my first date (2002), Catch him! (2008), Off To The Castle! (2012) and 39 Weeks, 6 Days (2017). Now he is working on TV series Mimi and Lisa and Websters by Katarina Kerekesova.
